The SciRoc Scientific Symposium will take place on Wednesday 18 Sept from 6:15 to 9pm at the MK Gallery (https://www.mkgallery.org/). The Symposium, which is entitled “Living with machines: The rise of urban robots”, will be hosted by Richard Westcott from the BBC and will focus on the risks and opportunities associated with the emergence of a hybrid society, where interaction with robots will become more and more ubiquitous. The Symposium will take the form of a panel with invited speakers from academia and industry drawn from different backgrounds, including technology as well as arts and humanities. Co-organized together by SciRoc and AI4EU (Building the European AI on-demand Platform), a workshop about “Evaluation and Benchmarking of Human-Centered AI Systems” will take place at the Connected Places Catapult in Milton Keynes, on 20 September 2019.
