Second SciRoc Challenge 2021

The second edition of our Smart City Robotics Challenge (SciRoc) will take place in the beautiful city of Bologna, Italy from the 6th – 11th September 2021. SciRoc will be an exciting but socially-distant event where teams can get together to compete.  Don’t let worries about Covid-19 travel restrictions stop you from applying – we have plans to mitigate against further restrictions if they occur.

This year, the challenge will be focused around the theme of ‘Smart Inclusion’ and, as with our first SciRoc event, will be divided into a series of episodes, each consisting of a task to be performed through addressing specific research challenges.

The following episodes will form part of our second SciRoc Challenge:

E01: Coffee Shop

E02: Sign Language Generation / Interpretation

E03: Shopping Cart

E04: Delivery of Emergency Equipment

E05: Shopping Pick & Pack

Official rule books containing a detailed description and evaluation criteria for each episode will be published in April.
