Second SciRoc Challenge 2021

Thank you for your interest in SciRoc, please note this event is now complete. Check out the full highlights here. Stay tuned for details on the next SciRoc event coming in 2023.

This year the beautiful city of Bologna, Italy will host the second edition of our Smart City Robotics Challenge (SciRoc) from the 6th – 10th September 2021. The event will take place at the historic Palazzo Re Enzo, in the main square and heart of Bologna. SciRoc will be an exciting but socially-distant event where teams can get together to compete.  Don’t let worries about Covid-19 travel restrictions stop you from participating, we have plans to mitigate against further restrictions if they occur.

This year, the challenge will be focused around the theme of ‘Smart Inclusion’ and, as with our first SciRoc event, will be divided into a series of episodes, each consisting of a task to be performed through addressing specific research challenges.

We invite members of the public to join us in Bologna to watch as our 15 international teams compete in 5 unique challenges over the 5 day event. For those unable to join us in person, we will be live streaming the event for all to enjoy. Details on accessing/streaming the event will be released soon.
